Bahrain aims to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2060 to face the challenges of climate change and protect the environment, the Cabinet has announced.
It also welcomed the launch of Saudi Arabia’s first phase of the ‘Saudi Green Initiative’, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the announcement by Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud that the kingdom will reach net zero emissions by 2060 through a circular carbon economy approach .
