THE grand finale of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) will be held on Saturday.
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava will be the chief guest at the event being held under the patronage of Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan at the Bahrain Conference Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manama.
Established in 1970, the socio-cultural and charitable organisation started its celebrations in 2019 with a grand finale planned for March 2020, which had to be postponed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Honour
Bahrain government officials, community leaders, leading personalities from socio-cultural and sports sectors are expected to attend the finale during which philanthropists and successful business entrepreneurs in the field of health, education and industry will be honoured.
As part of the celebrations, KCA organised a charity dinner, an international volleyball tournament, international online quiz, blood donation camp, medical camp, among other programmes.
A house in Kerala was donated to a deserving family while 25 wheelchairs were presented to a society for the disabled in Bahrain. Plans are underway to donate a dialysis unit to a deserving hospital.
