Bahrainis and expatriates who have taken three doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to perform pilgrimage, as required by the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah
Pilgrims are also required to take the other usual vaccinations before heading to Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj season.
Pre-Haj medical examinations can be performed at health centres across Bahrain.
The regulations were reiterated during the first meeting of the co-ordination committee in charge of the Haj medical missions.
Chaired by Dr Farooq Obaid, the committee discussed administrative and medical preparations, including the provision of vaccinations and the shipment of medical equipment and medicine.
The panel also discussed the co-ordination committee’s reports which set a number of proposals and recommendations, based on last year’s Haj season.
