MORE than 300 people are expected to attend the ‘Prince and Princess Contest 2022’ to be held at the Indian Club this evening.
The event organised by the club will see 140 contestants battling it out for the prestigious title. They will display their talents on the ramp and will be judged for catwalk, costume, smile, hairdo, self-introduction and overall presentation.
The competition is being held in three age categories – sub junior (four to seven-year-olds), junior (eight to 10 years) and senior (11 to 14-year-olds).
The allotted time for self-introduction is one minute for the junior category and one and a half for the senior category.
Winners will receive a crown, cash and attractive prizes as well as gift vouchers.
The contest is being sponsored by Bahrain Financing Company and the event begins at the club’s premises in Manama at 7.30pm.

The club has also announced the launch of the Indian Club Summer Camp 2022 next month.
“The special camp for children will be run safely, securely and professionally,” the club’s executive committee said in a statement.
A range of exciting, fun and educational activities have been planned for children, along with field trips, a Sports Evening and a Grand Finale that will coincide with the club’s Independence Day celebrations.
Fee per child is BD55 for members and BD66 for non-members. It includes all activities, daily snacks and a camp T-shirt while transportation services will be charged separately.
The Summer Camp 2022 will go on from July 4 to August 18, running Sunday through Thursday, from 9am to 1pm.
The event is limited to those aged five to 14.
