The Pakistani Women’s Association (PWA), a charitable organisation registered under the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has progressed consistently throughout its existence for the last 25 years and it continues to strive in its efforts for the welfare of the people.
PWA boldly explores new ideas with a resolve to bring the community closer, and in particular empower women and youth to help discover their potential.
The organisation’s Education Scholarship Fund, which was established several years ago, continues to financially support around 50 deserving students each month, mostly studying at Pakistan School.
PWA’s Youth Programme provides encouragement and a platform for students to partake in community welfare activities.
Recently PWA also participated in the disaster relief efforts for Syria and Türkiye, and its members received specific appreciations.
Last year, PWA conducted campaigns to provide food, winter supplies and various other forms of relief to the needy in the community.
“In addition to these, PWA hosts community activities, panel discussions and represents Pakistan in various forums,” said PWA President Shahmeen Islam.
