Solidarity has signed up as the insurance partner for the fourth annual Islamic Finance Innovation Day (IFID) to be held in Bahrain later this month.
Taking place on May 30 at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention and Spa, the forum’s focus this year is on ‘Embedding ESG into Islamic Finance – Opportunities for Innovation and Growth’.
Founded and organised by FinMark Communications, the hybrid event is being held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and with the support of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) as lead partner.
Solidarity Bahrain chief executive Jawad Mohamed said, “We are delighted to announce our partnership with IFID for the second consecutive year. Solidarity Bahrain, being a significant contributor to the Islamic financial services sector, remains committed to fostering innovation and progress, both internally and throughout the industry. With the rapid evolution of technology in the financial services sector, particularly in insurance, we are eager to share our accomplishments and insights, including the advantages of adopting and implementing ESG practices, which have enabled us to achieve sustainable growth and value for our diverse stakeholders.”
More than 300 regional and international participants and decision makers, including a distinguished line up of speakers from the Islamic banking and finance sector, fintech industry as well as ESG, regulatory and legal experts, are expected to attend.
The forum will comprise a keynote address and fireside chat with industry leaders as well as two panel sessions, ‘Going Beyond Compliance – ESG as a Driver for Innovation and Sustainable Growth’ and ‘The Essential Role of Fintechs in Accelerating ESG Adoption’.
