A motorist has been remanded in custody for allegedly being responsible for the death of another driver and seriously injuring his passenger on Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Highway.
The Traffic Prosecution Attorney General revealed that the driver had been accused of recklessly changing lanes.
"This led to a collision involving the victim's vehicle causing it to skid off the road.
"Following investigations, the accused driver has been remanded in custody and an authorisation to handover the body of the deceased to his family was given to allow for the burial."
Relevant legal procedures are being completed to transfer the case to the criminal court.
Details of the passenger’s condition in hospital were not released.
