His Majesty King Hamad has offered condolences to Kuwait on the death of Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
The King, who met the Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, during a visit to the country, also offered condolences and sympathy to the sons of Shaikh Nawaf and to the Al Sabah family, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul in eternal peace and to bless the family and the Kuwaiti people with patience and solace.
His Majesty praised the achievements and virtues of the late Amir, highlighting his efforts to advance his country in all fields, as well as serve his people and Arab and Islamic nations.
He underlined Shaikh Nawaf’s contributions to consolidating the joint Gulf march, along with other GCC leaders, and affirmed the distinguished regional and global status enjoyed by Kuwait during his reign.
The King expressed his full confidence that Shaikh Meshal will carry on with the development and progress to bring about more prosperity for Kuwait and its people, thanks to his statesmanship and long experience in managing state affairs.
His Majesty prayed to Allah the Almighty to guide Shaikh Meshal on the right path of success and to bless him with abundant health and wellness.
He affirmed the continuity of joint efforts to consolidate the two countries’ deep-rooted relations, which have been strengthened further over the past years, to serve common interests.
Shaikh Meshal thanked the King for his sentiments, wishing him abundant health and happiness.
His Majesty later returned to Bahrain.
Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh sent cables of condolences to Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al Saadoun and Kuwait’s Ambassador Shaikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
