A 14-member Bahrain squad left for Malaysia yesterday to take part in the 2024 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women’s Premier Cup.
Sixteen teams, placed in groups of four each, are competing in the tournament which starts tomorrow and ends on February 18.
Bahrain, led by record-breaking all-rounder Deepika Rasangika, have been slotted in Group C, along with Indonesia, Qatar and hosts Malaysia.
The Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) held a capping ceremony for the team a day prior to their departure.
Bahrain’s opening match is against Qatar tomorrow at the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur followed by their second game against Indonesia at the Selangor Turf Club in Seri Kembangan on Sunday.
Their final Group C game is against Malaysia at the same venue on Tuesday.
