RUGBY – Manu Tuilagi was one of three players returning from injury to boost England ahead of their Six Nations game against Scotland, as head coach Steve Borthwick named a squad of 36 players yesterday.
Tuilagi has been out with a groin injury since December, and wasn’t named in England’s initial Six Nations squad, but the centre now returns along with hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie and lock George Martin.
Cowan-Dickie withdrew from the squad through injury before the start of the championship, and all three were absent for England’s opening two wins over Italy and Wales.
Centre Ollie Lawrence and flyhalf Marcus Smith will also join the squad as they continue their rehabilitation from injury.
England play Scotland at Murrayfield on February 24.
