Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass has called for increased trade and investment co-operation between the kingdom and Rwanda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ecuador.
Mr Nass hosted ambassadors from the three countries at the chamber’s headquarters yesterday to discuss potential partnerships in food security, healthcare, communications, energy, and industry.
“Bahrain is keen to expand trade relations with friendly countries and increase the volume of trade exchange,” Mr Nass said. “We must address logistical challenges and activate co-operation in trade and investment.”
Khalid Najibi, the chamber’s first vice chairman, echoed Mr Nass’s comments, saying the Bahraini private sector welcomes closer ties with the three nations.
Rwanda’s Ambassador John Mirenge, who is based in Abu Dhabi, expressed interest in deepening bilateral relations and co-operation across multiple sectors. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ambassador Bojan Jokić highlighted Bahraini real-estate investments in his country and encouraged more business activity. Ecuador’s Ambassador Denys Toscano Amores, who is based in Cairo, emphasised the importance of trade missions and tourism opportunities.
The meeting was also attended by Bahrain Chamber officials including first vice chairman Khalid Najibi, second vice chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji, and board members Yusuf Salahuddin, Abdulwahab Al Hawaj and Yaqoob Al Awadhi.
