General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing director general Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa underscored that the Fael Khair initiative to support individuals with financial obligations is one of the leading humanitarian efforts stemming from the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainouna).
The director general noted that Fael Khair initiative has supported 702 individuals, 354 men and 348 women, through the settlement of 1,429 financial cases totalling BHD3,214,684.424.
He emphasised that the initiative also secured partnerships with 12 institutions and companies and engaged eight benefactors who directly contributed to settling individual debts. Field teams followed up on cases, resulting in the payment of over 105 files by donors and the allocation of BD350,000 in additional support for eligible beneficiaries, Shaikh Khalid added.
