A Bahraini man was arrested within an hour of stealing a car from Waqif Market and heading to Muharraq.
During that time, the 22-year-old caused a traffic accident, left the car, and fled the scene, the Interior Ministry said.
Patrols were able to track and arrest him.
Legal steps are being initiated.
