Students from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) met Bahrain Red Crescent Society members to discuss a range of humanitarian and community-focused initiatives.
The visit formed part of an academic project that offered students valuable insight into the society’s mission and its operational approaches across both humanitarian and social fields.
The team toured the society’s headquarters and was briefed on various volunteer programmes designed to support and serve the wider community.
“The visit is part of a wider series of student-focused programmes delivered under the society’s plan to expand its volunteer base and enhance public awareness of the importance of humanitarian action,” said society’s secretary general Mubarak Al Hadi.
The society signed an agreement in 2016 with RCSI Bahrain establishing a framework for joint co-ordination to deliver a series of community, educational, and charitable activities.
