Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the inauguration ceremony of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) Emergency Medicine Building, Isolation Ward and Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Building was held yesterday.
His Majesty deputised BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa who assigned Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi to attend the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the BDF Hospital.
The event coincided with the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the establishment of BDF.
Lt Gen Al Nuaimi toured the new buildings, during which he was briefed on the modern facilities and advanced medical equipment included in the expansion.
The minister emphasised that these vital medical projects, particularly the Open MRI device, represent a qualitative leap in diagnostic services.
Lt Gen Al Nuiami praised the efforts of the RMS to provide advanced healthcare through modern facilities, equipping them with latest medical equipment, and qualifying medical personnel to the highest standards.
