His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman General Abdel Fattah al Burhan upon his arrival in Bahrain on a visit.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister; His Majesty’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and several senior officials as well as ministers were present.
They held talks on the close bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to the latest regional and international developments.
The King emphasised longstanding ties between Bahrain and Sudan, highlighting the mutual commitment to further developing co-operation for the benefit of both peoples.
Later in the day, His Majesty bid farewell to General Al Burhan in the presence of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Shaikh Abdulla.
