His Majesty King Hamad said Bahrain has, throughout its history, held a distinguished place in the Islamic world, noting that safeguarding the kingdom, preserving its security and protecting its stability contribute to strengthening the unity of the Islamic nation.
His Majesty delivered an address expressing deep gratitude and appreciation to all those who have demonstrated, in word and deed, their patriotism and support for Bahrain, as he chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Sakhir Palace yesterday, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Majesty praised the sincere expression of unity and loyalty shown by Bahraini citizens and families, describing them as a powerful reflection of national cohesion.
On behalf of the united Bahraini society, His Majesty paid tribute to the commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the National Guard and the Ministry of Interior. His Majesty commended their professionalism, discipline and dedication in carrying out their responsibilities and expressed pride in Bahrain’s high state of readiness and operational preparedness.
His Majesty noted that members of the military and security services continue to perform their national duties with efficiency and capability under all circumstances in defence of the kingdom’s security and stability.
His Majesty stated that the realities of current events require continuous preparedness, placing a historic responsibility on Arab states to defend their sovereignty, co-ordinate their efforts in confronting present challenges and preparing for the future with confidence and resolve.
His Majesty also stressed the importance of reinforcing the stability of civil states that are independent in their sovereign decisions and capable of consolidating national unity.
The King emphasised that efforts will be directed towards protecting Bahrain’s national interest and preserving its achievements and established reputation, while maintaining unity in the face of any interference or aggression. He said that Bahrain would take the necessary legal measures against anyone who acts against national interest, and warned traitors that any conspiracy against the nation will lead only to clear loss.
His Majesty expressed appreciation for the national resilience demonstrated by the people of Bahrain in the face of challenges, noting their awareness, steadfastness and contributions across all domains, and their commitment to solidarity and unity as one family proud of its national cohesion. His Majesty expressed pride in that they were the strength of the nation in war and remain its enduring strength in peace.
His Majesty called on citizens to continue serving the nation and defending its interests, following the example set by previous generations, and to take pride in the kingdom’s enduring identity as a nation that has consistently upheld the values of peace.
His Majesty congratulated the pilgrims of Bahrain on their safe return. His Majesty also congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the successful and exemplary organisation of the 1447 AH Haj season, praising Saudi Arabia’s extensive efforts in serving pilgrims and providing them with the highest standards of services and facilities.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Cabinet emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance environmental initiatives in line with sustainable development goals, ensuring the protection of the environment and the preservation of its natural resources.
The Cabinet expressed its condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, affirming Bahrain’s full support for Kuwait and its backing of all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty.
The Cabinet also reviewed memoranda submitted by ministerial committees and ministers and approved the following:
1. A draft law on the regulation of private security services.
2. A memorandum of understanding between the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) at the Interior Ministry and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security in the UAE on the single-point pre-arrival passenger registration project between the two countries.
3. A draft decision on the classification of micro, small and medium enterprises, expanding the scope of support for enterprises in line with international practices.
