His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today extended his condolences to Qatari Amir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the passing of Father Amir Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
HRH Prince Salman also expressed his condolences to senior members of the Al Thani family.
He reflected on the wide-ranging contributions and significant achievements of the late Amir in serving his people, advancing the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as supporting their causes.
As part of the Bahraini delegation to Qatar for the funeral proceedings, HRH Prince Salman was accompanied by his adviser Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa; Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa; Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa; Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa; General Sports Authority deputy chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa; escort officer to HRH the Crown Prince Brigadier Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa; Bahrain’s Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed bin Ali Al Ghatam; and several senior officials.
Following the funeral, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister returned Bahrain.
