It noted that the achievement highlights the advanced capabilities of national medical professionals in the field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy and underscores Adan Hospital's ability to manage complex and rare cases in line with the latest international medical practices.
The ministry added that such capabilities contribute to localising highly specialised services, enhancing healthcare quality and enabling patients to receive advanced treatment within Kuwait.
The statement quoted Dr. Al-Tawalah as saying that since the beginning of the year, more than 120 advanced endoscopy procedures have been performed at Adan Hospital.
He added that the hospital also provides a range of highly specialised services, including endoscopic ultrasound for the liver, pancreas and bile ducts, therapeutic stent placement, and double-balloon enteroscopy for examining the small intestine.
Dr. Al-Tawalah noted that these advanced procedures are carried out daily thanks to the availability of highly qualified national specialists and state-of-the-art technical capabilities.
