Customs officers at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport have seized 2.7kg of suspected hydroponic marijuana concealed inside chocolate packets carried by a passenger arriving from Phuket, Thailand.
The passenger was intercepted on August 2 after passing through the Customs Green Channel, following profiling via the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS).

Officers spotted suspicious items during X-ray screening, searched the passenger's baggage, and recovered four vacuum-sealed packages of suspected hydroponic marijuana hidden among several packets of KitKat bars.
The passenger was arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with authorities conducting further investigations to uncover potential smuggling networks.
