A Kuwaiti man has been arrested for allegedly stealing multiple storage disks from his workplace and selling them to a computer shop.
The suspect took advantage of an empty building to steal the equipment. He was identified on CCTV footage after an internal inventory check revealed the drives were missing.
During interrogation, the man claimed he had no intention of accessing or compromising the data on the disks before selling them.
Police later discovered the suspect has a prior criminal record for theft and was recently released from Central Prison. Investigators have so far recovered a portion of the stolen property from the computer shop.
