Legendary playback singer K S Chithra headlined a concert last night at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Diamond Hall.
Ms Chithra, whose melodious voice and timeless songs have captivated music lovers for decades, was joined on stage by prominent singers Nishad, Anamika and Arjun.
The renowned singer’s ‘Chithranjali’ programme is part of BKS’ Sraavanam Onam festivities being organised this month.
Recognised for her exceptional vocal talent and remarkable contribution to Indian music, Ms Chithra has earned a special place in the hearts of music lovers across generations.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Indian Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Rajiv Kumar Mishra and Kerala Member of Legislative Assembly from Kovalam M Vincent. Sraavanam 2026 will conclude with a celebration of the culinary traditions of Kerala, encapsulated in a grand onasadya (feast) on October 2, prepared under the leadership of renowned culinary expert Pazhayidom Mohanan Namboothiri.
The organising committee for the festivities is led by BKS president P V Radhakrishna Pillai, general secretary Varghese Karakkal and Sraavanam general convener Harikrishnan Nair.
