The team, which plays in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, underwent a change of ownership in 2025 following investment by Kuwaiti businessman Ali Al Hamad. The club recently signed a co-operation agreement with the Kuwait Public Authority for Sports to select three Kuwaiti players for professional trials with the club.
Salisbury FC players are currently in Kuwait, visiting schools, and are set to play a friendly match against Qadisia SC, 17-time champions of the Kuwaiti Premier League.
