His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al Budaiwi and heads of delegations participating in the 24th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, remains committed to supporting joint Gulf initiatives that strengthen co-operation among GCC member states and contribute to their continued progress, prosperity and growth across various sectors.
He noted that the ongoing GCC co-operation, grounded in the historic relationships between all member states, continues to develop across various fields, guided by the visions and aspirations of the GCC leaders and contributing to the aspirations of their peoples for further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of the leaders of the GCC states to His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HRH Prince Salman extended the greetings of the King to the leaders of the GCC countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished those involved in the meeting success in achieving its objectives and advancing joint Gulf efforts in the housing sector.
He emphasised the importance of continuing efforts to achieve the visions and aspirations of the GCC leaders in enhancing co-operation in the housing and real estate sectors, through strengthened co-ordination and the development of shared solutions to address challenges and support comprehensive development.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the second edition of the Innovation in the Social Housing Sector Conference and Exhibition 2026, held in conjunction with Bahrain’s hosting of the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs. He underscored the role of such events in exchanging expertise and strengthening partnerships and co-operation among the GCC states in the housing and real estate sectors and contributing to developing innovative solutions and initiatives that support the sustainability of these vital sectors.
The heads of delegations expressed their gratitude to HRH Prince Salman for his continued support for joint Gulf co-operation and efforts to achieve shared aspirations. The heads of delegations also conveyed their wishes for further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.
The kingdom hosted the meeting as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC ‘Bahrain Summit’.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials were in attendance.
