His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, yesterday met Commander of the British Land Forces Lieutenant-General Zac Stenning and an accompanying delegation at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the historic relations between Bahrain and the UK across various fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised that Bahrain-UK relations are underpinned by shared partnerships and agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA), which contribute to advancing shared goals and aspirations.
He welcomed Lt-Gen Stenning and the accompanying delegation, highlighting the joint national commitment to deepening co-ordination and advancing this strategic partnership at various levels, in support of the prosperity and growth of both nations.
During the meeting, latest regional and international developments, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials were in attendance.
- Defence Affairs Minister Lt-Gen Abdulla Al Nuaimi also received Lt-Gen Stenning. BDF Chief of Staff Lt-Gen Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Financial and Technical Affairs Adviser at the BDF General Command, were present.
