Two BBK employees have successfully advanced to the highly-competitive challenge stage of the sixth edition of the National Project ‘Lamea’.
Data science assistant manager Noor Alshaikh and data architecture senior officer Noora Alrashed, secured their places amongst a select group of just 20 young Bahrainis.
The pair was chosen from an initial pool of approximately 1,700 candidates across various sectors following a series of rigorous admission assessments. The initiative combines advanced workshops with local and international academic institutions, practical strategic challenges and an international training camp.
Group Chief Executive Officer Yaser Alsharifi met both employees to congratulate them on their achievement. “We take great pride in Noor and Noora’s qualification for the challenge stage of Lamea,” he said. “Their achievement reflects the calibre of BBK’s cadre, and we congratulate them on earning the opportunity to
represent the bank in this national project.
“We look forward to seeing them make the most of the programme’s learning opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and professional expertise.
At BBK, we’re committed to supporting our employees’ ambitions and providing opportunities that prepare them for greater responsibilities. Investing in Bahraini talent is central to this commitment and to developing future leaders who will contribute to the banking sector’s progress and Bahrain’s wider development.”
The dynamic duo expressed delight and determination on hearing the news.
Ms Alshaikh said: “Being selected as one of 20 participants from around 1,700 candidates to advance to the challenge stage is a source of great pride and motivation. I’m delighted to represent BBK and look forward to testing my capabilities, developing my leadership skills and putting what I learn into practice to make a meaningful contribution to the bank and the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Ms Alrashed was equally enthralled by the chance to shine: “I’m honoured to qualify for the challenge stage of Lamea’s sixth edition,” she said.
“I am proud to represent BBK and grateful for the bank’s continued support and confidence in my abilities. I look forward to applying the knowledge and experience I gain during the programme to support the bank’s initiatives and contribute to the goals of Bahrain’s Economic Vision.”
The Lamea project is held under the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and aims to identify and prepare promising young citizens for future leadership roles.
