Egypt succeeded in entering the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest Ramadan iftar banquet.
The recording-breaking iftar, which extended for up to three kilometeres, accommodated more than 7,000 people who had their iftar meals.
The event was held on Saturday (June 1) at the newly-built administrative capital, to the east of the current capital Cairo.
A Guinness official who attended the event said the Egyptian giant iftar will be registered as a record, as it reached the length of 3,189.830 metres.
