The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait's strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attacks that targeted the country early in the morning.
In a statement, the ministry described those attacks as evidence of Iran's persistence in a repeated hostile approach and a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The ministry said the attacks also constituted a serious breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
The ministry stressed that the continued attacks represent a highly dangerous escalation that could further aggravate regional tensions and instability, threaten regional peace and security, and undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and resolving crises through peaceful means.
It reaffirmed that Kuwait's security, sovereignty and territorial integrity are inviolable, stressing that the State reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its security and safeguard its sovereignty in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
