ATHLETICS – Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Naser and Nelly Korir were awarded their respective gold medals yesterday for their victories at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Naser was presented her gold for the women’s 400 metres – which was her second of this year’s Asiad and sixth title overall in the history of the quadrennial continental spectacle.
Korir, meanwhile, was awarded her women’s 1,500m gold which was the maiden Asian Games title of her career.
