MANAMA: Kanoo Travels has been awarded a certificate by Air France KLM for becoming the first Bahrain-based corporate to join its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) programme.
By joining the programme, Kanoo Travels is making a contribution, which will be invested in the sourcing and consumption of SAF.
It also supports the transition from conventional jet fuel to SAF and becomes part of the community of sustainability pioneers.
SAF proactively reduces emissions by at least 75 per cent compared to jet fuel and contributes to a circular economy.
The certificate was presented by Air France KLM country manager for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Raza Syed to Kanoo Travels president Nabeel Kanoo in the presence of key officials from both companies.
