Bahrain-based youth have been invited to participate in the Gulf Smart Investor Award, which has a total prize money of over one million Saudi riyals ($266,000).
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced yesterday that the third edition of the annual awards programme, organised under the Mulim campaign, is accepting submissions until February 2025.
The competition seeks participation from GCC citizens and residents in presenting creative ideas related to financial activities and investment awareness.
The award has four categories: videography, drawing, photography, and writing.
A specialised committee will select 44 winners – 11 in each category – based on their creativity in raising awareness about saving, investment, and financial fraud prevention.
This year marks an expansion from the previous two editions.
“The Gulf Smart Investor Award enriches the financial and investment culture, while providing young people with a platform to showcase their creativity in creating awareness materials,” said Ali Al Amer, director of Capital Markets Supervision at the CBB.
He noted the programme’s contribution to spreading awareness among investors and expressed hope for continued success, especially from Bahraini youth.
Launched in early 2022, the Mulim campaign aims to raise awareness of financial activities and investments in the GCC capital markets.
