Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) Art Centre in Manama will host an exhibition in collaboration with the Bangladesh Embassy.
Titled ‘From the Core to the Periphery: Kaleidoscope Journey’, the event will be inaugurated tomorrow and will feature works by contemporary Bangladeshi artists Kuhu, Kanak, Jamal Ahmed and Mohamed Iqbal.
Curated by Nuruzzaman Kaiser, the exhibition will open at 7pm.
The programme has been organised as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural ties between Bahrain and Bangladesh.
The artworks will highlight the diverse cultural influences shaping the art scene of Dhaka – the cultural hub of Bangladesh.
They will explore evolving artistic expressions through form and colour while examining the relationship between memory, place and identity. Some pieces will also draw on scenes and details from everyday life, offering fresh perspectives on Bangladesh’s artistic and cultural landscape.
The exhibition will continue until June 17 and will be open for viewing daily from 9am to 8pm at the Art Centre.
