A national initiative bringing together children, families and community members has been launched by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).
The ‘Love and Loyalty’ initiative expresses love and loyalty to Bahrain and its leadership and was organised by RHF as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.
RHF acting secretary-general Ibrahim Al Doseri noted that the programme reflects RHF’s commitment to ensuring that its 25th anniversary celebrations are community-focused and embody the values of love and loyalty that unite the people of Bahrain with their nation and its leadership.
He added that the foundation’s families will participate in signing a loyalty pledge to His Majesty King Hamad, and writing expressions of gratitude and appreciation to him.
The ‘Love and Loyalty’ programme includes several initiatives. Children aged nine to 12 will participate in a drawing competition, with the five best artworks selected and their artists receiving prizes. Participants will also write messages of love and loyalty to His Majesty on special cards.
The pledges of allegiance will be collected in a commemorative book to be presented to the King.
The programme will run until July 30, from 9am to 2pm, with RHF welcoming the public to its headquarters in the Seef District to sign the pledge.
The children’s drawing competition will take place in Hall P2, while parents and visitors can go to the customer service centre to sign the pledge of allegiance and add their remarks in the register dedicated to this occasion.
