BASKETBALL – Seef were crowned champions of the second 3x3 basketball event of the Bahrain Summer Tour 2026, which took place over the weekend at Sports City 26 in Exhibition World Bahrain.
The quartet of Austin Ajukwa, Uros Ilic, Elyas Younes, and Isa Jasim secured the title after outplaying Falcon 21-7 in the final.
Seef’s triumph followed that of Team ATTB from the opening event held earlier this month.
They showed their class in the tournament, having competed at the highest level of the half-court game on this year’s Fiba 3x3 World Tour.
Round two attracted a large number of participating 3x3 squads from across the kingdom.
Following all the action, the winners were presented their awards by Sports City 26 technical director Mohammed Al Sharqawi.
In attendance during the event were General Sports Authority vice-chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Basketball Association competitions committee chairman Hassan Yaseen, and other officials.
The Bahrain Summer Tour 2026 at Sports City 2026 is set to be followed by a pair of Fiba 3x3 World Tour Quest and Lite Quest events – to be staged by the kingdom for the first time.
Scheduled for Tuesday is the Bahrain Open Lite Quest, which will serve as a qualifier for the Phoenix Challenger in the US, set for September 19 and 20.
That will then be followed by the Bahrain Summer Tour Quest on Thursday, which will act as the qualification competition for the Debrecen Masters event in Hungary, set for August 29 and 30.
Both meetings offer opportunities to compete on the Fiba 3x3 World Tour – the premier street basketball series featuring international tournaments of various levels held around the world.
Masters events are the highest-tier followed by Challengers – both of which are fed by the qualifiers, which include Super Quest, Quest, and Lite Quest.
