His Majesty King Hamad received a written invitation from the UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to attend the United Nations Water Conference 2026,
The forum will be hosted the UAE on December 9 and 10.
The letter was presented to His Majesty by UAE Ambassador Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri.
His Majesty thanked Shaikh Mohammed for the invitation, commending the UAE’s hosting of the high-level global UN conference, which aims to strengthen the focus on water resources within the global agenda, encourage collective action to address water-related challenges, and mobilise international efforts to ensure sustainable access to water for all.
His Majesty affirmed Bahrain’s appreciation for the historical ties and long-standing bonds between Bahrain and the UAE, and the continued development of co-ordination between the two countries across all domains.
