His Majesty King Hamad received a written letter from King Abdullah of Jordan, inviting him to participate in the High-Level Conference on Safeguarding Humanity in Times of War.
The conference is scheduled be held in Amman on December 7.
His Majesty received the letter from Jordanian Ambassador and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Rami Saleh Wreikat Al Adwan.
His Majesty thanked King Abdullah for the invitation.
He also affirmed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and their people, which continue to develop through their shared commitment to strengthening and consolidating them in support of their mutual interests.
His Majesty wished the conference participants success in advancing collective international action to defend humanity and protect civilians during wars and armed conflicts.
