His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received a written letter from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inviting him to attend the second GCC-EU Summit, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia on October 24.
The letter was presented to His Majesty by Saudi Ambassador Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi.
The King thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation.
He commended the long-standing and deep-rooted ties between the two kingdoms and the continued commitment to supporting and developing them at all levels.
His Majesty also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to strengthen Bahrain-Saudi ties, and for the role of Saudi Arabia in developing joint Gulf action.
He wished the GCC-EU Summit success in strengthening the partnership and further developing the long-standing co-operation between the GCC states and the European Union countries to advance their common interests.
